LS Mtron (CEO Shin Chai-ho), an LS Group company specializing in industrial machinery and high-tech parts, announced on the 18th that it will hold ‘AHead-to-Head Contest of Grandmasters’, an event where LS autonomous tractors compete against human agricultural work precision, twice on March 27th and 28th.

The ‘Head-to-Head Contest of Grandmasters’ is a competitionin which LS autonomous tractors and human participants will perform ridge¹  forming work within a limited time on pieces of open ground with the same area and compare work precision. The evaluation criteria will be the straightness of the ridge shape and the consistency of the ridge spacing. If there are any participants who win against the autonomous tractor, the person with the highest score will be awarded an LS autonomous tractor worth KRW 130 million.

The event will be held at the LS Mtron Central Mega Center, the largest autonomous tractor test drive experience space in Korea. LS Mtron plans to further publicize the convenience and technological excellence of autonomous tractors through this event.

The LS autonomous tractor was commercialized for the first time in Korea and is being sold to public institutions, agricultural cooperatives, and general farmers.It is an innovative product that can autonomously perform forward and backward movement, rotation, and interlocking with work machines without any additional operation. The product is at level 3 autonomous work, capable of moving straight ahead, rotating, and controlling work machines, and is equipped with an obstacle detection function, which is the key and basic function forrealizing level 4, completely unmanned work. It reduces work time by 25%, raises harvest yield by 7%² , and increases worker convenience and productivity.

We are holding a purchase benefit event in whichhome appliances will be given away to the first 50 customers who sign a contract to purchase an LS autonomous tractor through dealers nationwide by May 31st.
